Darren The Foulds
Hi, I'm Darren! I make stuff and put it on the internet. This is a good place to find that stuff.
Way back in 2003, I created my first podcast, A Week with a Penguin. I think I only made ten episodes and those are lost to the æther.
In 2017 I started a new podcast, Comfortable Place on the Couch. Published (not to a strict schedule) every other week, CPOTC is a music podcast currently exploring the entire discography of Australian band, Midnight Oil.
Way back in the 80s, I started my pixel graphic obsession. With graph paper and a Commodore 64 I studied the best in state of the art computer graphics. When I upgraded to an Amiga and eventually a Mac, I remained rooted in the simplicity and conciseness of pixel art.
I still prefer this blocky style and have lend my hand to websites, games and print publications whenever the right opportunity arises.
As one of those rare, singing-drummers, I'm also dangerously competent enough on guitar, bass and banjo. Writing songs since I was a child I've been playing in bands and as a solo act for over 20 years.
Many of my recent songs (originals and covers) are available for free, on my Troubadour Playlist.
